Community development by way of non profit organizations, educational facility improvements by way of legal accountability (no computers in Oak pub schools, we'll sue ya etc.), decrease recidivism by implementing/funding worthy programs such as Men of Valor (less than $2 million/yr. needs to be allocated), promote business ownership versus employment, curb squatting and improve housing for worthy tenants by legally forcing slumlords to improve housing conditions BY THE BLOCK LOAD, and bang your monkey, the local government. Complain until they block your phone number; then get your neighbor to complain. Go to the meetings too 510-238-7370.
These suggestions must be implemented simultaneously for them to have a noteworthy and sustained effect.
